It may not be full-on Dual Season just yet, with the numerous Holiday Tournaments set to take place, but some major dual meets have started to shake the State landscape.
In Class AA the top remains the same with #8 Saucon Valley earning a quality win over #12 Notre Dame-Green Pond in the first week of the season. The Top 25 sees the addition of four new teams in this edition with #15 Penns Valley leading the way. They are undefeated at (8-0) and won the Babbit Duals downing Derry Area (51-25) along the way. They will take on #11 Bald Eagle Area on January 3rd.
Three District 3 programs make their first appearance in the Rankings with #18 Newport, #21 Upper Dauphin, and #24 Octorara all making the Top 25. Newport is undefeated and rolled over Line Mountain (60-15) on Wednesday. Upper Dauphin also took care of business against Line Mountain and remains undefeated. Octorara, back in District 3, dropped a (45-17) match to Newport but earned a (36-33) win over #25 Midd-West.
Class AAA saw several new teams come into the Top 25 Rankings with #19 Boyertown Area, #20 Central Dauphin, #22 Thomas Jefferson, #23 Norwin Area, and #24 Garnet Valley all making their season debuts. The biggest change came as Northampton Area moves into the #5 spot coming from #9 after defeating #7 Nazareth Area. Central Dauphin defeated Mifflin County; Garnet Valley defeated Council Rock North but fell to Owen J. Roberts and Boyertown Area.
