Kennard Dale Senior Chance Marsteller ends his career undefeated capturing his fourth straight PIAA State Championship

Even with a nagging back injury suffered at the District 3 Section 5 Tournament three weeks ago Kennard Dale senior Chance Marsteller achieved PIAA State History completing his storied career undefeated at (166-0) and earning his fourth PIAA Class AAA State Championship. In the finals Chance used a series of turns and takedowns to rack up a (14-2) major decision over #2 Kyle Coniker (Central Catholic). It may have been a motivation for Marsteller who only decisioned Coniker (8-1) earlier this season at the POWERade Christmas Tournament. Unfortunately Marsteller, arguably the greatest high school wrestler in Pennsylvania History, will be missing the Dapper Dan Wrestling Classic when Team PA takes on Team USA on Sunday March 16 in Pittsburgh. According to Marsteller he has been advised by his doctors to rest his back for several weeks. Fans who packed the GIANT Center witnessed history and one of the most impressive high school wrestlers to ever put on a singlet in PA.
