Screen Shot 2013-04-16 at 11.43.03 PM2013 Heavyweight State Champion Aaron Bradley has committed to wrestle for the legendary Iowa University Hawkeyes and head coach Tom Brands. The senior’s recruiting stock skyrocketed in 2011 when the Nazareth Area Blue Eagle was a runner-up at the 2012 PIAA Class AAA State Championships at 220 lbs. as a junior, which he followed up with a dominating performance in 2013 when he captured the 285 lbs. PIAA Class AAA State Championship. Bradley battled with one of the Nation’s top heavyweights twice this season when he faced Brooks Black (Blair Academy) in the 2011 Beast of the East finals. Black won the Championship with a (2-1 TB) victory but at the Dapper Dan Classic Bradley secured a victory for Team PA when he defeated Black (3-1 OT). The two will both join the BIG 10 Conference in 2013 with Brooks Black heading to the University of Illinois. Aaron Bradley will be the third PA Native on the current Iowa Wrestling Team roster, joining former State Champion Josh Dziewa (Council Rock South) and National Prep Champion Mike Evans (Blair Academy) who is originally from Enola, PA where he spent two seasons wrestling for Cumberland Valley High School.
