Young Guns wins PAWF Junior Club Duals over Blair

Team Young Guns Red – PAWF Club Team Junior Duals Champions
There is a reason Young Guns Wrestling Club is the #1 ranked wrestling club in the Nation by FloWrestling. Headed by the former Iowa Hawkeye grapplers Eric Juergens and Jody Strittmatter the club has locations in Pennslyvania, Wisconsin, and Iowa/Illinois. Visit their website here.
Strittmatter was a PIAA Class AA Sate Champion at Cambria Heights High School before heading to Pitt-Johnstown where he became a 2x NCAA Division II National Champion. After two seasons at Pitt-Johnstown Jody transferred to Division I powerhouse Iowa and was a 2x All-American and 2x Big Ten Conference Champion for Hawkeye legend Dan Gable. In addition to running the PA branch of Young Guns Wrestling Club Strittmatter is an assistant coach at Pitt-Johnstown.
On Sunday, Young Guns participated in the PAWF Junior Club Duals against teams from across the Northeast region including New Jersey’s Blair Academy. During their pool play competition Young Guns went (3-0) winning their pool and advanced to the Championship bracket. In pool play they defeated LAW (64-4), Chesmont (57-4), and Brookville (61-5).
In the Championship round Young Guns won (36-17) over Rampage and advanced to the finals against Blair Academy’s club team. In the finals the Young Guns came out strong and captured the PAWF Junior Club Duals Championship with a (39-19) victory over Blair.
