Three State Top Ten Match-Ups Highlight District 3 Class 2A Semifinals

The 2019 District 3 Class 2A Semifinals will feature three matches between wrestlers ranked in the State’s Top Ten. 

 

106 pounds

#7 Connor Brown (Littlestown) vs. #8 Noah Frack (Brandywine Heights)

Last month sophomore Connor Brown defeated Noah Frack (5-1) in the New Oxford Tournament and will look to do the same on Saturday morning. Frack, who was fourth at PA Power Wrestling’s The Surge to start off the season, only has two defeats this season including one from Brown. 

 

120 pounds

#5 Caydin Wickard (Boiling Springs) vs. #9 Bailey Gimbor (Hamburg Area)

The California Kid Caydin Wickard is in his first Pennsylvania post-season and he will be a threat to everyone in the 120 pound field. He will take on 2018 PIAA State Qualifier Bailey Gimbor who he has defeated twice already this year. Wickard, who moved in from California this season, beat Gimbor (8-3) and (4-2) this season.

 

126 pounds

#7 Chase Shields (Bishop McDevitt) vs. #9 Patrick DeMark (Trinity)

A pair of 2018 PIAA State Finalist will clash at 126 pounds. One of the top seniors in the State, Chase Shields, is looking for his fourth straight District 3 Championship. These two have not wrestled this season.
