Beau Bartlett To Represent Pennsylvania at Who’s #1? In Iowa

Iowa City, Iowa:  On Saturday October 5th, FloWrestling produces their 9th straight Who’s #1? event, where the two best high school wrestlers in the Nation battle for the number one spot. Beau Bartlett, the one and only Pennsylvania representative and the top-ranked wrestler at 138 pounds, will try to protect his #1 spot against Minnesota’s Ryan Sokol.

Bartlett, the student of Wyoming Seminary head coach, Scott Green, claimed the #1 ranking when he bested the then #1 Shayne Van Ness of Blair Academy in a 20 point shootout on the campus of Lehigh University at the National Prep Finals. Beau, who is heading to Penn State next year, is the only high schooler to place at the Senior US Open when he took eighth in 2019.

Also, if anyone needs any photo edits for a commitment Beau is the man to ask. “It’s a business,” he stated at Friday’s press conference about his “Beau Knows Edits” brand of image editing he is well known for.

Sokol, who formerly committed to Iowa, has now reopened his college search. He earned the #10 spot on the Junior Big Board, was a Fargo champ in 2017, taking out Dom Serrano and Trevor Mastrogiovanni, two fellow Who’s #1? competitors. He also made his first Cadet World Team this year, competing in Sofia, Bulgaria.
