Eight Pennsylvania Wrestlers Earn Seeds for the Senior Men’s Freestyle U.S. Open

Eight Pennsylvania wrestlers are seeded at the 2018 Marine Corps U.S. Open in Men’s Senior Freestyle, which kicks off from Las Vegas on April 27th. The highest seed goes to Evan Henderson (Kiski Prep), a Bill Farrell Champion earlier this month, who is third at 65 kilograms. Josh Kindig (Blue Mountain) is one behind Henderson with the fourth seed at 65 kilograms, while NCAA Champions Darian Cruz (Bethlehem Catholic) and Nico Megaludis (Franklin Regional) are seeded fifth at 57 kilograms and eighth at 61 kilograms respectively.

2018 NCAA Finalist Hayden Hidlay (Mifflin County) is the eighth seed at 70 kilograms and former Iowa Hawkeye Mike Evans (Cumberland Valley/Enola, PA) is seeded fourth at 79 kilograms. Former Central Dauphin and Ohio State wrestler Kenny Courts, who was a runner-up at the Bill Farrell, is seeded fourth at 92 kilograms and Jon Gingrich (Bald Eagle Area) is ninths at 125 kilograms.
