State Tournament Medal Count and Analysis in Class AAA

In Class AAA the WPIAL was head of the field with a total of 34 State Medalists with just 56 State Qualifiers. It was the most medals out of any District but not far behind was District 11 with 22 and District 1 with 19.

Even more impressive was the performance from District 10 who sent 11 wrestlers to Hershey and came away with 7 medalists for a percentage of 0.636 which was the highest of any District. 

At 285 lbs. the WPIAL grabbed the top 4 spots with Brendan Furman winning the Championship, Isaac Reid finishing in second, Roman Macek taking third, and Gerald Brown in fourth. District 7 also saw all four qualifiers at 106 lbs. come back with a medal. Both weights were the only time in Class AAA where a region placed all of their qualifiers.
