Two major Tournaments are taking place this weekend – the King of the Mountain at Central Mountain High School and the Walsh-Jesuit Ironman Tournament.

At the Ironman Tournament in Ohio WPIAL powers Canon-McMillan and Franklin Regional are leading the way for PA. Spencer “The Kid” Lee is proving the the Nation why he is the #1 freshman in the Nation storming his way into the Championship finals at 113 lbs. Joining Lee in the finals is 2x PIAA State runner-up Michael Kemerer at 138 lbs.

For the Canon-McMillan Big Macs seniors Dalton Macri (126) and Solomon Chishko (145) both fell in the semifinals to top 3 Nationally ranked wrestlers.

Closer to home, a strong field of teams make up the King of the Mountain Tournament. At 113 lbs. PIAA State runner-up Luke Karam was upset by Charlie Lenox who pinned the BECA sophomore in (4:15). At 120 lbs. 2x PIAA State Champion Ethan Lizak (Parkland) will take on returning State Champion Luke Pletcher (Greater Latrobe) in the finals. In another marquee match-up 2x PIAA State Champion and 1 career loss wrestler Jason Nolf (Kittanning) takes on PIAA State runner-up Patrick Duggan (Cumberland Valley) at 145 lbs.
