Southern Columbia, #2 in the State Dual Team Rankings, dominated the New Oxford Invitational racking up 283 team points placing 13 wrestlers and claiming three champions. State Champion #1 Jaret Lane bounced back from a runner-up finish last weekend at the Escape The Rock picking up his 102nd career pin and 158th career victory. 

In the marquee matchup returning PIAA State Champion and junior #1 Edmond Ruth (Susquehanna Township) took on sophomore #6 Gaige Garcia (Southern Columbia) in the 170 lbs. finals. Ruth, brining a 52 match win streak into the finals, went off in the second period after a scoreless first period. Garcia escaped the start the second period but Ruth rallied off four quick takedowns and added on two nearfall points to go up (10-4). Ruth escaped in the third and added on another takedown to close out the match by major decision (13-5).
