PA Power Wrestling, the leader in Pennsylvania Amateur Wrestling, is proud to host a Pennsylvania based pre-season tournament, which highlights the Keystone State’s depth of wrestling greatness. The Surge is a unique opportunity for high school wrestlers to showcase the hard work they have put in over the summer – and earn a spot in PA Power Wrestling’s Pre-Season State Rankings. It will also be a chance for rookies to prove their worth and earn a spot in PA Power Wrestling’s annual Top Incoming Freshmen Report.
Registration for The Surge will feature three divisions. Those wrestlers in grades 8th through 12th during the 2023-2024 academic year are eligible for the High School divisions (Boys & Girls). Wrestlers in grades 7th and 8th will be eligible for the Junior High division. While The Surge is a Pennsylvania focused pre-season tournament, registration is open to wrestlers from any State.
Registration will run through November 11th but will close once the maximum number has been reached.
Registration Fee: $60 Online Only
- Adults - $15.00
- Students - $5.00
- Children 6 & Under - Free
- Wrestling starts at 9 AM for all divisions.
- Please consider bringing your own chair to sit in as there are limited bleacher spaces inside of the dome in C3 Sports.
- Once the paved parking lots are full, there will be a grass lot on the backside of the parking lot that can be used.
- There will be concessions run by C3 Sports on-site and there is a Sheetz (sorry no Wawa) about a half-mile from the location.
- Blue Chip, the official gear provider of PA Power Wrestling, will have a store on-site selling merchandise from USA Wrestling, Wrestle Like a Girl, NCAA Teams and PA Power Wrestling gear.
- All tournament action will be streamed live on Rokfin via PA Power Wrestling's channel here.
- Pre-Seeds will be released on PA Power Wrestling's Rokfin channel on Wednesday evening.
- The Tournament Director has the right to combine weights to maximize competition by expanding brackets. Any weights that are combined will be communicated to those participants as soon as possible. Depending on if more registrants sign-up between now and Saturday, or when the maximum entry number is reached (right now we are roughly 20 spots away from that number), we will notify those being combined.
- No refunds will be provided after Wednesday November 8th at Midnight.
- Tentatively these weights MAY be combined in the JH Division; 80/87, 94/101 and 108/115.
